I've discovered why Pottery Barn Kids charged almost 80 bucks for the twin bedskirt I wanted in the girls' room.  Would you like to know why?  Because it's a PAIN to make.  I created my own version of this bedskirt and while it cost me less than $3 to make, I'd estimate that I've spent about 10 hours on it and technically it isn't finished yet.  Oh it's in the girls' room already but my original plan included painting tiny flowers along the bottom to match the colors in the room.  I'd be using the left over paint from a kitchen decorating project but I'm not sure I feel like messing with it any further.  I'm not a talented painter by any means and I fear messing up what has taken me way too long to do already.

Maybe once my loathing of the thing wears off I'll feel motivated to take a crack at adding to it.  For now, it works.
