I was actually awake at 4am but wasn't feeling too well - ack!  We've had a stomach thing around here (fun stuff).  We're thinking maybe food poisoning from a celebratory dinner out with family Friday night.

Saturday and Sunday were very busy days.  It's not good to be sick.  We were unable to begin volunteering at the church Saturday night because of how ill we were.  The softball tournament was cancelled but this wasn't until after several trips to the ball fields to find out it was postponed over and over.

Today is Columbus day.  The schools are out.  I don't remember having nearly as many days off school when I was a kid.  It seems they are constantly having new breaks added and then there are those teacher work days.  I like that we can pick our own schedule and we're not taking our “fall break” until the end of October.
