Apparently Zondervan has an online Bible search now. Like Erik, I've been partial to BibleGateway but would be open to giving this new one a go. I don't know who Brian Anderson is (sorry) but apparently he worked on this project for Zondervan.
I use BibleGateway quite frequently. If you've never used an online Bible, they're great! I have several hard copies of the Bible but having access to multiple versions in a searchable format is incredibly helpful when studying. While I'm working on a study I typically use two of my hard copies (two versions) AND at least one additional version online. I feel I get a more accurate view of the literal translation when I read several versions as opposed to relying on just one (my ever so humble opinion of course).
My favorite "study Bible" is probably Kay Arthur's Inductive Study Bible. I have one of the older NIV versions and I really enjoy it (would prefer a different version but this was all they had at the time). I like to "study the Bible for myself" rather than take someone else's interpretation as my own and I find that the prompts in this study Bible are perfect for sending me on quest after quest to seek out what God is saying. If you're looking for a good study Bible, check this one out.
I've also done a good number of Kay Arthur's topic specific studies and found them all to be very thought provoking.
