We are all quite well. A bit tired and very sore but well indeed. Our house closed on the 26th and the week prior was nothing but packing, sorting and planning. This week I've been packing up what we brought to my parents' house and preparing for the drive to Kansas on Sunday. I hope to post more on all of this in the coming weeks as the life lessons I'm taking away from this experience are indescribably valuable to me and I wouldn't want to forget them anytime soon.
We aren't making a permanent move to Kansas just yet but we will finally be together as a family on a more “permanent feeling” basis. An adventure lies ahead for us, one that not many families get to encounter. While we feel somewhat timid at the prospect, we feel very privileged and blessed as well. These last (almost) ten weeks have been chaotic, stressful and trying. At the same time, I can recognize that it's one thing to go through a difficult situation at peace and a whole different thing without. Peace, we've been at peace through all of this - praise the Lord! Our journey is far from over, our rest will not come immediately but thankfully we do not travel it alone.
I'm looking forward to getting back to writing and reading soon but I shudder at the prospect of going back to normalcy. I've been looking for radical change and God has given me such an opportunity - I'd be a fool to squander it. Lord willing, I will be posting on all of this in greater detail soon.
