Goals: July 9th – July 15th

Monday, 10 July 2006 12:50 by Blair

Well, it seems I’ve gained back everything I’d lost up until this life altering shift which began back in April.  It is quite disappointing to actually be UP 2.2 lbs from the start of the year (hence the negative number in my annual breakdown).  Yes, I am angry with myself – perhaps even a tad disgusted and definitely frustrated.  I was lamenting to a friend recently that it hardly seemed fair that it takes so very long to take off the weight but no time at all to pack it on (she too recently re-gained what she’d lost this year).  So, despite that ugly number on the scale, I’m pressing on.  I still have almost six months to reach my annual goal and I definitely feel it is doable…if I stay focused that is.  I’m back on track with my eating and hope to be feeling much better once these ridiculous cravings subside.

I battled a kidney stone over the weekend and while I haven’t passed it, it made it to the bladder after 24 hours of pain.  Part of me felt like I’d been in labor and it was finally over when the pain subsided.  Isn’t it bizarre how you take “feeling good” for granted until you’re in pain.  Then, once the pain stops you feel like you could leap tall buildings in a single bound!  I say, I’d rather give birth any day than have a kidney stone!  Horrid little things they are.

Ironically, I began toilet training our youngest the day I had the worst of the stone pain.  It was interesting, that’s all I’ll say on that for now (post to come).  Obviously I’ll continue with that venture.  Since I’m ahead of schedule on my book reading, it is time to tackle some of that scrapbooking.  I brought all of my supplies to Kansas and half the master bedroom looks like a scrap store threw up in it.  My plan this week is to get all of the photos remaining in misc piles, boxes and folders, organized into my photo box chronologically.  Once I know they are all in there, I can continue scrapping them.
