Friday marks the end of our first quarter this year.  Man, that has flown by!  The kids are excited about getting their “Progress Reports” and showing them proudly to dad.  Even still, I think they are more excited about our upcoming Fall Break. 

We're taking a four day weekend the end of the month as a reward for all of their hard work.  Erik is even taking off work - woohoo!!  Our "typical" school schedule rarely includes Friday as a school day (if the kids stay on track) but this year we've been doing the standard Monday through Friday routine.  We may return to Fridays off next quarter, we'll see.  Last year we took the entire month of December off.  Probably won't do that again this year, but you never know.

Anyway, the kids are doing great and I think the time off will be a nice change of pace.
