"Blair" is in the House

I mentioned in my last post that we took my MIL to church on Saturday (Mother's Day weekend).  We had hoped she'd finally get to hear our pastor speak as last year when she came we had a guest speaker.  Well, imagine my conflicted feelings over discovering in the worship guide that Lisa Whelchel would be speaking instead.  I say "conflicted" because I was excited to hear Lisa speak for myself but wanted Ed to speak for my MIL.  As it turned out, my MIL thought it was so cool that "Blair" was speaking (FOL was her daughter's favorite show), she listened intently.  I was surprised how much attention she paid when later she helped me relay the entire talk to my mother lol.

Lisa spoke on the topic of her new book, Taking Care of the Me in Mommy.  Her main point reiterated what us LBY gals have been studying about being filled with the Spirit.  What I found personally interesting was her frequent references to her weight problems.  I've been praying about my weight for weeks and I know that Lisa was there for me Saturday night.  Oh sure, she was there to minister to more than just me I suppose, but I know God had her there for me specifically.

After we put Erik back on a plane Monday morning and my MIL headed back out of state, I began to ask the Holy Spirit to "give me a plan".  Then I watched the LBY Session 7 video and light began to dawn.  (Perhaps Lisa would find funny the fact that He chose the bathroom of all places to speak to me also.)  You LBY ladies are probably thinking, "she has lost her mind, Beth Moore didn't say anything about weight loss in the Session 7 video".  True, she didn't but she did talk a lot about "doing good" to others.  There's a little hint for you to chew on.

Anyway, I really feel that I now have a plan of action.  My intention is to begin this new plan (which I might add is not even on paper yet but still bouncing about in my head) on Monday, May 22nd.  The first segment is a six week nutrition plan.  As the end of the initial six weeks begins to draw closer, I hope to be able to share more about it.  For now, it's between God, Erik & myself lol.

So, do I have you in suspense?  Ha, probably not :o)

On a sort of side note....I thought it would be cute to end this post with a little tid bit from Facts of Life history - tee hee.  In Season 9, episode 9, my cousin played "Blair's" little sister "Bailey".  She wasn't in the business a terribly long time but I did run across a site someone put up about her.  In Season 9 (episode 24), her brother (and my cousin of course) would also make an appearance on the show.
